Doctor in Engineering and Applied Sciences. Her research focuses on: Social Demand of Energy; Sustainability and Innovation; and Gender and Energy. She is member of the Academia de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades del Estado de Morelos; the International Women’s Forum; and Voz Experta. She is Head of Innovation and Futures Lab at Instituto de Energías Renovables UNAM.

Dulce Guevara,
Gender and Social Inclusion Sr. Associate, Global Green Growth Institute

Dulce Guevara is a Gender and Social Inclusion Sr Associate at the Mexico office of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in the Sustainable Finance area. Her work focuses on integrating a Gender and Social Inclusion Perspective into GGGI's projects, particularly in the development of gender-responsive financial instruments for climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Previously, Dulce worked as a consultant on climate justice with an emphasis on gender equality at the Mexican Climate Initiative. She also collaborated as a consultant for CeMIESol, the Mexican Center for Innovation in Solar Energy, focusing on social knowledge appropriation and gender perspective.

Earlier in her career, she served as the Gender and Electricity Officer in the Gender Unit of CFE, where she contributed to the rural electrification project in the Sierra de Zongolica and proposed methodologies to integrate a gender perspective into the company's operations.

She has also worked in institutions such as the Senate of the Republic, the Belisario Domínguez Institute, and the INAI.

Dulce holds a degree in International Relations from ITAM, a Master's in Law from UNAM, and a Master's in Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Marisol Oropeza,
Business and Marketing Strategist

Marisol Oropeza, a dual Mexican and German national based in Berlin, is a Business and Marketing Strategist with her own consulting brand “matters” since 2016. She is a leading figure in the solar industry and recognized as an exceptional advocate for solar thermal. With a career spanning more than 20 years holding leadership positions in the public sector in Mexico, as well as the private and non-profit sectors in Germany, she positions herself as a highly qualified professional with a creative mindset.

She is founder of the Heat Changers community and an advisor to highly recognized companies in the solar industry. She has cultivated a vast network of contacts in Germany, Europe and Latin America. Her influential international collaborations span initiatives to accelerate the energy transition and promote solar technology. She collaborates with the Solar Heating Initiative, the Global Solar Certification Network and Intersolar Mexico. She was responsible for the International Affairs Secretariat of the Mexican National Solar Energy Association (ANES) from 2020 to 2024.

Additionally, she stands out for her extensive knowledge of the sector and dynamic presence as a speaker and moderator. She is listed in the speaker directory of the Solar Heating and Cooling Program of the International Energy Agency (IEA SHC).

Marisol's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree with honors in Business Administration from UNAM, a Master's degree in European Studies from Hochschule Bremen, and additional studies in Strategic Marketing, Leadership and Sustainable Development.
