Workshop: Integral Protection of Photovoltaics Systems
This workshop aims to develop a culture of protection in PV systems due to the sensitivity of the equipment to transient surges and lightning strikes. It should be considered that photovoltaic systems are generally located on unprotected roofs or in large photovoltaic fields, and for this reason protection is the basis for system reliability. The following aspects will be discussed:
1. Importance of PV system protection. National and international regulatory framework.
2. External protection system (lightning arresters and earthing system).
3. Internal protection system (surge suppressors).
4. Successful cases.
