Lilia Alonzo holds a law degree from Escuela Libre de Derecho and an MBA from Cass Business School. Throughout her career spanning over 15 years, she has advised various companies on project financing, mergers, and acquisitions in the electricity, hydrocarbons, port, and transportation sectors. She currently advises companies on the implementation of energy transition processes, including PPA negotiations, the development of ESG policies, and the study of emission reduction mechanisms.
She has served as an advisor in various tenders, representing both the bidding authority and the participants, with notable experience in oil rounds and the sale of sugar mills. She contributed to the drafting of secondary regulations for the implementation of the energy reform and in the corporate reorganization of CFE.
She is currently the Managing Director of Albaa Legal, a legal and consulting firm focused on simplifying complexity for highly regulated industries.
